Contact heat dissipation (heat transfer) - due to the temperature difference between water and air when in contact, Tw>Ta, the air carries away some of the heat from the water, causing the water temperature to drop; Evaporative heat dissipation (mass transfer) - due to the continuous diffusion of water vapor formed by the surface evaporation of water into the air, while bringing the latent heat of water vaporization into the air, water evaporation absorbs heat and lowers the remaining water temperature.
